Top tips for making the most of CCIA 2026

Top tips for making the most of CCIA 2026

With this year’s Company Car in Action test driving and networking event for fleets fast approaching, we’ve put together several recommendations for getting the most out of your visit.

CCIA 2026 will be held at UTAC Millbrook on June 10-11, 2026, and registration is now open.

Whether you are attending primarily to get behind the wheel of the latest vehicle models, network with peers, or to gain insights from expert-led panel sessions, Company Car in Action is a must for any fleet professional. Follow our suggestions to best maximise the value of your visit.

Ensure you always get the latest insights from Fleet News. Make us a preferred source of news on Google.

Plan your schedule in advance

CCIA 2026 will feature models from 45 leading manufacturer brands, with more than 300 of the latest cars and vans available for visiting fleet professionals to test drive.

Additionally, there will be presentations, exhibitions, Q&A sessions, and roundtable discussions taking place over both days.

Take some time to plan out your schedule ahead of the event to maximise your experience. Decide which vehicles you want to test drive ahead of the event and organise your day to take full advantage of the networking and learning opportunities.

Arrive early

Make the most of your day by arriving early.

After parking, you’ll need to get a shuttle bus to get to the show itself, so build in some time for a smooth transit. Breeze through the safety briefings and licence checks, then test drive or make your way around the exhibits before the grounds get too busy.

Dress comfortably

Although CCIA is a driving event, you’re going to be on your feet a lot. This industry showcase takes place at UTAC Millbrook in Bedfordshire and covers a lot of ground, with plenty of opportunity to walk around the show.

Make sure to wear something that you are happy to be moving around in. If you plan on wearing new shoes, bring some plasters in case of blisters.

CCIA is mostly an outdoor event, and the weather can be unpredictable; consider bringing a jacket in case of rain.

Keep your licence handy

Before you get to the tracks for a test drive, you will need to complete licence checks. A lot of this will be handled in advance of the event, but you will need to bring a copy of your licence summary with you on the day. This process is mandatory if you want to test drive the vehicles at CCIA, and having your licence easily accessible will save time and mean that you will be ready to drive without any delays.

See here for more details on the licence-checking procedure, and what to expect on the day.

Don’t waste a booking

With more than 300 vehicles at CCIA and a range of tracks to choose from, test driving bookings are at a premium. A missed or late session can cause delays for everyone. Be at your designated stand ahead of time so you are ready to get in the car when your test drive is booked to start.

If you’ve booked a drive and discover you are running late or cannot attend, let us know. We want to give everyone the opportunity for a test drive and your quick cancellation message could help a peer get behind the wheel and make sure no booking goes to waste.
