Check out our 2022 seminar sessions
With the Government’s 2030 ban on the sale of new petrol and diesel cars looming, an increasing number of companies are starting on the journey to a zero-emission fleet.
This session will offer you best practice tips to help you get the most out of an electrification strategy, from using total cost of ownership to calculate costs, steps to take to implement a workplace charging infrastructure, offering an EV-based salary sacrifice scheme, pitfalls to consider and hurdles to overcome along the way.
Wednesday 15th June:
11.30am – 12.15pm
Charlie Cook, CEO, Rightcharge
This session will focus on the key considerations for fleet operations when forming their workplace charging strategy. It will also consider the options for home charging, including reimbursement and provide advice about how public charging should fit into a fleet’s travel policy.
Kevin Booker, IT Systems and Fleet Manager, Brecon Beacons National Park Authority
In this session, Kevin Booker will share his journey to an electric fleet, offering guidance to help you get the most out of your electrification strategy, from using total cost of ownership to calculate costs and steps to take to implement a workplace charging infrastructure.
Thursday 16th June:
10.00am – 11.00am
Charlie Cook, CEO, Rightcharge
Kevin Booker, IT Systems and Fleet Manager, Brecon Beacons National Park Authority
Andy Eastlake, Chief Executive Officer, Zemo Partnership
Joining Charlie and Kevin, Andy will help fleets on their electrification journey, including information on the latest technology, how it’s developing, the importance of total cost of ownership to calculate costs, considerations when implementing a workplace charging infrastructure and advice on home and public networks (including reimbursement and solutions for those without home charging options).
Managing a grey fleet can be a real challenge for fleets as an increasing number of employees use their own vehicles for work purposes because of the growth of affinity schemes and cash allowances.
Experts will look at best practice processes and procedures employers should adopt around restrictions, limitations, driver checks and data records to ensure they comply with their duty of care obligations and minimise risk.
The session will also consider tactics companies could use to reduce the size of their grey fleet and encourage staff back into a company-provided car scheme.
Wednesday 15th June:
10.00am - 10.45am
Peter Eggeman, Programme Manager – Fleet Support, Energy Saving Trust
Peter will provide advice and guidance on grey fleet decarbonisation, to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve air quality, by reducing the size and cost of your grey fleet.
Thursday 16th June:
11.30am - 12.15pm
Wednesday 15th June:
10.00am - 10.45am
Steve Openshaw, Group Fleet Manager, Eric Wright Group
Steve will be providing best practice oversight about how they manage their grey fleet drivers, including the rules and checks they have implemented to ensure compliance and to minimise cost and risk.
Understand how, why, when and who we engaged with when starting our own journeys
James and Stewart will provide insight into what they have learnt since they started on their own electric journey around 5 years ago, including tips and helpful insight from their last few years of being EV drivers. From journey planning, charging patterns, understanding energy and addressing the reliability of public charging infrastructure to installing your own home charger and charge point providers you can trust, this session will help fleet managers to set out on their own journeys and to provide advice to their drivers.
Wednesday 15th June - 2.30pm – 3.15pm & Thursday 16th June - 2.30pm – 3.15pm
James Pestell, National Sales Manager, IFC Group & Director of Association of Fleet Professional
Stewart Lightbody, Fleet Innovation & EV Manager, Matrix iQ: DRiiVE & Vice Chairman of Association of Fleet Professionals
