Ford and Polestar are the latest manufacturers to offer fleet decision-makers exclusive first drives at next month’s Company Car in Action.

The Polestar 3 and Ford’s new electric SUV the Explorer (pictured) can be put through their paces at the fleet driving event of the year taking place at Millbrook Proving Ground, Bedfordshire, on 12 and13 June.

Neil Wilson, fleet director, Ford of Britain, said: “Electrification remains a key consideration for all our customers, and we are delighted to once again be exhibiting to the UK fleet industry at this year’s Company Car in Action.

Matt Hawkins, head of sales for electric vehicle brand Polestar, said: “CCIA is a key event in Polestar UK’s event calendar as we have great relationships with fleets across the UK. The ability to meet with so many influential fleets in one place, while also demonstrating our product is as efficient as it is enjoyable!"

Other first drives include the Omoda 5 SUV, the first UK car from the Chery-owned Chinese new entrant, US brand Canoo’s futuristic electric van LDV130 and Scottish electric off-road vehicle manufacturer Munro’s electric pick-up truck.

Nissan will also use the show as a platform to unveil its full-electric Interstar van.

The fleet test-driving event of the year offers fleet decision-makers and leasing company stakeholders the opportunity of putting dozens of full electric, plug-in hybrid and hybrid vehicles through their paces on four courses offering different terrains: Alpine hill, high-speed bowl, last-mile delivery circuit and off-road route.

A total of 34 manufacturer brands are confirmed for the event and more than 940 fleet decision-makers have registered to attend.

Brands confirmed for CCIA are Abarth, Alfa Romeo, Audi, BMW, BYD, Citroen, Cupra, DS Automobiles, Fiat, Ford, Genesis, Hyundai, Jeep, Kia, Lexus, Maserati, Maxus, MG, MINI, Nissan, Omoda, Peugeot, Polestar, Renault, Seat, Skoda, Smart, Suzuki, Tesla, Toyota, Vauxhall, Volkswagen, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles and Volvo.

The event also offers fleets the chance to network with major brands’ fleet teams as well as hear from expert speakers who will present on key topics in our daily seminar sessions.

This year they will look at workplace electric vehicle charging and also feature a panel of manufacturer brand fleet representatives discussing future products, BEV transition and technology developments.

Speakers confirmed for the workplace charging sessions are Islington Council, assistant director of corporate fleet & transport Chris Demetriou and the EV Café’s Sara Sloman.
