Licence Bureau was the FIRST Company to provide a business solution to the issue of checking driving licences in the UK. The process was created using the DVLA database in 2003 and endorsed in 2004 when the Health and Safety Executive launched a document called ‘Driving at Work’.
The business initially provided its customers with a website portal providing driving licence checking results only; this later included documentation validation for vehicles used at work.
In 2014 Licence Bureau launched a unique new web portal, ‘Compliance Managed Services’ (CMS), which allows clients to access, check and improve their drivers quickly and efficiently online via an exception management alert system.
Services include: Driver Audit, Licence Checking, Grey Fleet Management, Risk Assessment and Driver Training, Permit to Drive and Right to Work Validation.
myenergi, pioneer of the world’s first eco-smart EV charging device, has announced an electrifying partnership with this year’s Company Car in Action (CCIA) event. Taking place at the Millbrook Proving Ground (23-24 June), fleet managers from across the UK will be able to test drive the latest fully electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles.
As the event’s official EV Charging Partner, myenergi will provide 40 state-of-the-art zappi charging stations. Located on each manufacturer’s demo stand, the clever devices will be on hand to ensure that vehicles remain fully charged throughout the two-day event.
Jordan Brompton, co-founder and CMO of myenergi, commented: “While EV technology is evolving rapidly, so too are vehicle chargers. Our zappi device, for example, is a smart EV charger that can switch from regular power supply to charging modes that utilise 100% self-generated solar or wind power. The first system of its kind to do so, zappi is designed for both home and business installation.
By installing a number of zappi devices on stand at the CCIA event, we’re looking forward to playing an important role. With a host of major EV manufacturers exhibiting, our ground-breaking chargers will ensure that all vehicles are topped up and ready for test drives.
The event is very informative, allowing fleet decision makers to get up to speed on the latest in innovation, fleet efficiencies, and key fleet operational issues as well as exploring a large range of new products from a wide range of vehicle manufacturers.
If there is any event you’re going to attend make sure it’s CCIA. It’s a great opportunity to test drive new and existing products whilst getting to meet the manufacturer teams to build those relationships.
Fleet Managers now have an unprecedented opportunity to determine which power source in each duty cycle best suits their operation, from both an environmental and economical position.
Excellent day, well run and well attended. Manufacturers were impressive and had the right people there as well as the cars.
The most important driving event in the UK for fleet managers.
